Friends of Alaska’s Children in Care (FACC) is a non-profit organization originally formed in 1991 as CASAs for Children to encourage and promote Alaska’s Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program. The organization later became Friends of Alaska CASA and, in February of 2021, expanded to become Friends of Alaska’s Children in Care (FACC) signifying both organizational growth and a strong commitment to advocate and serve to a greater number of children and youth in care and to provide meaningful family supports to help facilitate successful family reunifications.
FACC is an all-volunteer organization that collaborates with other child/youth advocates, including Alaska’s State CASA program, Office of Public Advocacy GALs, Tribal organizations, and Office of Children’s Services, to help meet shared goal of improving outcomes for children and youth.
