Two scholarships are available to Alaskan youth who either are currently in or were recently in State or Tribal care.
High school students currently in State or Tribal care may be eligible for the Dickison Scholarship, while youth who are or were recently in State or Tribal care and who are either entering in or continuing their post-secondary education, may be eligible for the Rudisill Scholarship. Each scholarship is funded annually by FACC and by private donation with scholarships awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students must be nominated by their CASA, GAL, Tribal Representative, or OCS Case Worker and must meet the scholarship requirements outlined below. Applications may be completed online via FACC’s website or downloaded and mailed to FACC.
Applications must be made at least thirty (30) days in advance of the need for funding. The Committee strives to respond to each application with ten (10) business days of receipt, but delays may occur.
Payments on approved scholarships typically take seven (7) to fourteen (14) days to process.
