We are tremendously grateful for the 111 extraordinarily talented and generous quilters from Anchorage, Bethel, Big Lake, Eagle River, Fairbanks, Palmer, Unalaska, Wasilla and Willow, as well as quilters from Arizona, Colorado, Montana, and Washington, who donated a record-number 227 quilted treasures. Nearly $29,950 was raised through the sale of the quilts, raffle tickets, and cash donations! For its 21st year, Sally’s Kitchen entertained the auction crowd with their melodious music and all in attendance enjoyed the fancy dancing of a proud 90-year old gentleman. It was truly a sight to see! Once again, Vivian Hickok fed the crowd with her dozens and dozens of mouthwatering cookies.
Joanne (Jodi) Phelan of Anchorage won the queen-size Rocky Mountain High Raffle Quilt made by Becky Rudisill and machine quilted by Debra Carney. Jodi has been a long-time CASA supporter, and serves as Friends of Alaska CASA’s Vice President. Congratulations, Jodi!
